We didn’t like the pictures on the MLS so we decided to take our own on this one. This is one of those houses that isn’t exceptional in any particular way, but it’s the fact that there are no big “issues” that really makes this one to look at. It checks all of the right boxes.
This house “needs” nothing. That isn’t to say there aren’t improvements you would make and there aren’t ways to make this home more awesome (courtyard is nice, but forgettable, for example). But it’s completely livable as-is; it’s in a quiet, middle part of the tract; the house is well-sited with a big front courtyard; most of the original doors and windows are present and accounted for; and, the kitchen has been remodeled along with beautiful wood floors.
This house a bit of a Goldilocks…it’s just right. Remodeled but not “too” remodeled. Well-preserved, but not a museum of 1954. When it comes down to it, most buyers don’t want the biggest fixer in the tract. Owning a house like that is a lifestyle choice. Similarly, most people aren’t in a position to buy the most expensive, most upgraded home, either. Homes like these are the fat part of the bell curve, and this is one of the better ones all year.
